Yeah, for a good guy, Peter's ok lol. Sylar is gonna need a friend of sorts for what's to come later and Peter has now been exactly where Sylar is.(canon) If anyone can empathize and put the past aside it would be Peter. His confession positions him well to become close to Claire/Sylar as family.

Trust? Angela and Sylar?? That makes me giggle. Angela has an agenda, it's deeper than just the little bit in the spoiler and Sylar, though REALLY oblivious at times, ain't stupid.
