A smorgasbord of sci-fi and fantasy for 2022

This is one of my favorite features on Goodreads.com - the year end round up. I went through 34 books this year and dove deep into the world of Warhammer, which has both fantasy and sci-fi settings. Of all of the 40k (sci-fi) entries, the collection of short stories in Deathwing was definitely the best and would be a perfect introduction for ( Read more... )

I read a collection of three novels by Ursula K Le Guin and thought it was good enough to finally continue onto "The Left Hand of Darkness", which I'll need to get. At least what I read (early Hannish novels) had an interesting mix of science fiction and fantasy with some anthropological aspects.

And I want to set up a Goodreads account, but I feel like it'll be too much retroactively updating all books that I can remember and rating them =P

I enjoyed the list making but I recall agonizing over all of the books I read when I was younger and probably forgot about. Found a lot of them just by reading other people's lists. I also agonized over whether or not I was going to admit to the number of Conan novels I read as a kid...XD
