My baby and I had another first today. Today was the first day that I got pummeled while moving around. Up until now I've been getting kicked mainly while sitting still or lying in bed. Whee, spent the morning researching how to cut costs around the house. I'm actually really enjoying it! So far I've found recipes for home-made fabric softener, febreeze, and laundry detergents (3 recipes to try). I also copied down a bunch of soup recipes that I'll be making and canning. I finally got around to painting the nursery today. The primer has been done since... well whenever the last time I posted about this was, but now it's GREEN! So, all I have to do is paint the trim after the walls dry. It looks nice. I'll post a picture at some point. I promise.

Note to self: Just because the nursing pads don't look dirty when you wake up does not mean you have stopped leaking.

Silly me tried to sleep braless last night and woke up with spots on my nightshirt. I really miss being able to sleep braless. :( Oh well, time to get downstairs and make Tim fulfill his breakfast related promises from yesterday.

The baby kicks are increasing in frequency. I felt them on the outside of my belly for the first time yesterday. I tried to get Tim to feel, but the baby unfortunately doesn't kick on command. I have 6 jars of canned zucchini relish. This recipe is hella tasty and it uses 12 c of shredded zucchini! I also have one jar of pickle relish and four jars of spicy dill pickles cut like sandwich stackers (as per Tim's request). Yesterday I made zucchini brownies which were very tasty. Today is pickle day! I'm making zucchini relish, spicy dill pickles, and pickled hot peppers! Yay Pickles!

Tomorrow Tim and I are going to Tunkhannock to get a part for the wood splitter (hopefully the right one) and then to an orchard to pick apples. I get to make apple sauce!

Pregnancy has lead to what I choose to view as super powers. The first being that I am now a human barometer. Last night around 7 I started getting another migraine. So, there are now six zucchini in my refrigerator.
