I think that you captured Fiona's voice perfectly, and Adam's (naturally) as well. Narratively, you have a very smooth cadence -- reading is always very visceral experience because of the way you describe sensation. While I can't ever experience being blown up by a car bomb, I imagine it would feel something like this. lol
My only trouble with this is how out-of-context of the show it feels. Just in the sense of -- I could never see a canonical episode like this so I had to suspend disbelief. That said, it provides an interesting perspective on Adam being Adam-like even when he is in pieces of Adam.
It reminds me a lot of an owen/tosh fic i read.

I can't see it happening in the show either; I'm not sure I dare to try to write something that could happen in the show. The verismo of it, that pretense at reality, no matter how fantastical, is still a lot harder than science fiction or fake Disneyfied history. But maybe that's why no one has commented on it!
I remember starting it soon after watching that episode...feeling like I couldn't find a psychological way out/to deal with it. This was definitely that.
