Not having read the thing in question, and not being quite up to following your chain of thought intelligently just at this precise moment, I still thought I would share that I read this:

organismal intelligence

as

orgasmal intelligence

which, I suppose, is both Freudian and appropriate to Jack.

Well, I'd like to think I can, considering. Not sure I've had enough coffee yet though. ;)

Jack was, if you remember, not so keen on the idea of clerical work when he first discovered what he was, but he thought at the time Ianto would love it. Maybe Ianto needs to granted, er, head access. I think the idea of Ianto as an expert guide in the research jungle is a very good one, anyway.
