Title: Cura Deum Di Sint
Characters: Ianto, Jack, Lisa
Rating: R for language and a sort of death (consider yourself warned)
Notes: Spoilers for all of Torchwood S1, ~4,600 words, which is very long for me. And it has a plot, with things that happen in it! mystictwilight requested Jack/Ianto h/c, with Jack being the one who gets hurt. I don't know how much ( Read more... )

Oh God, I think you broke me. That has to be one of the most stunning, emotional pieces I've ever read. Everything's so raw and desperate. Jack's angry words leapt off the page and smacked me straight in the face. Absolutely wonderful, well done!

By the way...

"I suppose that meant 'no more beans'," Ianto observed afterwards.

Is that a Brokeback Mountain reference, or I am I just making that up?

Thank you so much! I really like those descriptors for it, raw and desperate. And I hope Jack's words didn't smack you too hard.

(For all I know, the bean thing could very well be a Brokeback Mountain reference, but it would be my subconscious doing it, because I've only ever seen it once, when it was first out in theaters, and at the time I was extremely upset over being broken up with so, what with it being what it was, I'm not sure how I caught any of the movie at all, since I was sobbing like a cranky three year old with a temper tantrum (only more emo) basically the whole time. I should probably watch it again now.)

*pets* It's up to the reader how it turns out, in this one. Though I'm not really sure which ending is the lady and which the tiger.

*sits speechlessly*

Oh.

This is beautiful. You describe everything so vividly and beautifully. Jack's emotions come across perfectly, as do Ianto's. And the sheer desperation of... I don't even know the word, I think I'm broken.

This is going straight in my memories.

I think maybe I need to put out a bin for all the pieces of everybody that I keep finding on my floor (woah weird slightly-sleepy metaphor there. *gives mind a shake*) I'm so glad you liked it enough to put in your memories!

God, this is so sad and beautiful. The emotions are so raw. I feel like crying for them both, but I'm too stunned. You're a very talented writer.
