My LJ was a recent addition anyway. Like maybe during Halloween?

Wow, I didn't know about that LJ thing either o.o!

And yes...RK kicks so much ass. it was one of my earliest anime/manga, and one I still love to this day. Enishi is my favorite anime guy of all times ^_^

Unfortunately, I never really got too deep into the internet fandom of RK outside RPing, so I don't know of any communities...but I'd love to see any icons you make~

That My LJ thing has been around before, apparently, but they upgraded it a lot recently, or something. I think, anyway. ^^;

Yay, another one for the RK fandom! I finished reading the manga a while ago too, and recently finished watching the OVAs. Having a slow connection must suck. D:

Lol, I only got to see it a while ago when I went to the homepage to post. Otherwise I just go ahead to my friends page so that's probably why I didn't notice it sooner ^^;;

Ooh yeah I talked to Shaza a few days ago, and she was telling me about your email to her about RK!! ^___^ Hehe, RK love!! *___*

Ooh yeah, I'm itching to watch the OVAs but it might be ages before I can get to do so =____=;;

RUROUNI KENSHIN LIIIIIVES!!!! XDD The first time I watched RK was when I was 7, and then I got down to reading it once I learned enough chinese words to understand the mandarin translations from Taiwan. ♥

RK is just brilliant, isn't it? It's one of the yardsticks I set all manga and/or anime I read/watch by. Which explains why so many fail, in my eyes. XD I mean, an anime with brilliant art, music and seiyuus? Plus an equally beautiful manga from volume one? It's too good to be true and nothing will ever live up to RK.

Yay another addition to the RK shrine! And now I shall recommend the Flame of Recca manga to you.

Weeee~ ^____^ I had seen some episodes of RK when I was younger but it was only last year that I finally got to see it from the start to the end ^^;; But I really really loved the manga more~~ zomg *____*

Haha, that's why to say RK is good is an understatement!! XDDDD It is indeed brilliant~ waah I wish I had read it sooner!!

Ooh I've actually been reading FoR before, but I haven't finished it yet ^^;; Must get down to that soon!

Ha ha, RK rules! XD Now you have to see the OAV series and the movie, and your inauguration will be complete. :3

As for communities, I don't know of any active ones. There are a couple of decent RK icon coms, but I don't remember what they were called, sorry!

Ahh I really really wanna see the OVAs now and the movie too, but I'm stuck with a slow connection T___T *wails* Are the OVAs as good as everyone says though? After the manga high, I really don't want to be disappointed hehe ^^;;

The OAVs are much darker than the series by far. Since the whole thing takes place during the Bakamatsu with Kenshin still the Battousai, it completely lacks the periods of humor and comic relief provided by the series. There is no humor, and it's very intense (I guarantee you will cry more than once, possibly continuously). So don't expect the same old light-hearted Kenshin series, but expect it to be just as good.

The movie is usual Kenshin, though. ^^ Also, there's a brief manga about Yahiko when he's grown if you haven't read it yet.

I should rephrase that...the whole thing doesn't take place during the Bakamatsu, some of it takes place long after the end of the series. It's just as intense and depressing. ^^;
