I do remember Mr. Movie mentioning that the 1988 remake of The Blob was the first to feature the killing of a child.

Though I thought that Alice, Sweet Alice was the first if I remember correctly. Though, since it's been a while, Brooke Shields may have been killed off screen.

Still, yeah, the 1988 version kicked ass!

I hate scary movies (because I'm a chicken) so I watch that show on Bravo every year so that I can get the highlights without having to sit through a whole movie. XD I ♥♥♥♥♥ Rob Zombie! And I LOVE the thought of him and Spider One sitting around as kids watching scary movies! SO CUTE! XDDD

Well, I uploaded almost all of the "100 Scariest Movie Moments" special to YouTube. So you don't have to wait for Halloween anymore!

My brother and I used to watch horror movies together when we were young too. My grandmother used to rent them for us! XD XD XD

Hmmm . . . I wouldn't doubt that he'd go in that direction, but that just seems like the same kind of direction the 1988 remake took. Where it wasn't some space alien, but some scientific/government experiment gone wrong.

(SHIVERS) NOTHING freaks me out quite like that particular version of The Blob. Traumatized me then, does the same now, though I watched it on YouTube anyway. Ironic it was worse than I remembered. I will probably NEVER see an additional remake, uuuurgh!!! I'M SUCH A WUSE!!!

Yeppers, it is one of the scarier movies from the last 25 years or so in my estimation. Let's go watch the remake and get freaked out all over again together! XD
