Well, they remade all his zombie movies, so it makes sense that they would get this George A. Romero movie sooner or later . . .

The Crazies

Here I thought that 28 Days Later was pretty much a quasi-remake of The Crazies.

The Crazies! I remember that one...it's one of those where I remember the movie, remember the plot, but can't remember the title or why I picked it up (apart from it's in the zombie genre and I think I rented most movies netflix had in that genre at one point)

That and it's George Romero.

I really like his stuff whereas I have never really liked a Sam Raimi movie. That includes the Spiderman movies, though at least those I don't dislike.

Yeah, I'm not an Evil Dead fan. Blasphemy.

I like Raimi and Romero, but Romero just a little more. If not for Romero, we wouldn't have the whole flesh-eating zombie movie genre.

In fact, if not for Romero, Raimi wouldn't have been inspired by Night of the Living Dead to make his breakthrough movie The Evil Dead. Sooooo . . . if not for Romero, there's be no Sam Raimi!
