What state are you coming from? It may be cheaper to book the airfare separately from the hotel, going through Priceline (be prepared to pay separate resort fees upon arrival) or something like that for the hotel. Unless you want to go to the North Shore everyday, or want to leave Waikiki every night until 3am, you will not need a car everyday because the bus system is pretty good. Hope this helps.

Thank you for replying! ^^

It's DFW to HNL and with my budget, resorts are out of the question because they're too expensive. I'm thinking of only $1300 or less with flight and hotel included. :?

I commented on one of the deal site for Hawaii and they did say for my date, there is a likelihood of the airlines dropping their prices unless they want to leave empty seats.

Panda Travel is a legit Hawaii based travel company (not affiliated). You may want to try them too. http://www.pandaonline.com/
if you can get a cheap fare to LAX or LAS, then you could get a cheaper flight to HNL. Hotels are expensive. If you really want bare bones, there is a hostel in Waikiki but I can't vouch for safety, cleanliness, noise or anything else. I think it's called Waikiki Hostel.

Hope you have a great vacation!

Thank you for the link, but the price is quite high compared to other sites that I've searching like Kayak, Priceline, and especially Bookit.com as they have the cheapest packages for my trip.

I really want to book it but I'm still waiting on my friend if she wants to go or not as her budget with flight and hotel is $1000 or less. :/ She told me after Spring Break to see if there's any price drop so I'm going to wait it out a little bit more and if she can't go, then I'll go ahead and book it for myself cause the more I wait, the more expensive it will get. :(

You're welcome!! Has Spring come to where you live yet or do you still have some snow left over? ^^

^^ it's nearly a miracle but this winter we got NO snow!!
The last few days it's getting warmer over the daytime and it's really nice when the sun comes out, but during the nights it's still really cold and the cars have frozen windows in the morning.
I want to clean the windows now when the days are so sunny, but before work starts the water would freeze onto the windows:) and after I come home from work I'm to drained from it and can't get me do it, also I have to cook or at least to warm up leftovers from the day before, after that the day is nearly over anyway *sigh*.

I hope the spring is wonderful over at your place and that you can find the most good offer for your planned trip and that it'll be very relaxing days for you!! ^^

Really? For some reason, this Winter, we got it bad mainly because of the ice on the road. Most Winters we just have a cold weather and no precipitation, last year was especially warm and this year was really cold. >_<

I don't know what's going on but I am glad that I am not in the Northeast in the US as they have it REALLY bad, and deep in snowstorms. The weather where I am at is getting warmer and I think this will be it for us for the winter and Spring has finally come. ^^

I hope yours come soon so you can enjoy the nice weather and you don't have to scrape the ice off the window early in the morning. Haha. ^^

Try searching with another computer, sometimes companies keep IP addresses and make the prices go up...

Yeah~ I should do that huh? For me right now, all I've been doing is clearing my internet history so I don't think that helps much at all. :/

I'm just waiting and hoping that there is some price drop after Spring Break and I'll just book the darn vacation packages and get it over with.
