Have fun on your trip. Please sure they are not ripping you off, the rural food should be cheaper than the city food because most of time the food is grown in the rural areas then transported to the city. If not, they may be importing the food if your eating at the tourist locations. I would recommend that you stay away from the tourist areas and eat at the native places and you'll be surprised by the quality of the food; It's much better the quality food in the U.S when I ate the native, organic grown food on an island. It's fresh and delicious. I hope you have the same experience.

Thank you for the tips! We already got ripped off at Applebees and not to mention we have terrible service too, the first waitress didn't even want to serve us so a second waitress have to waited for us.

I do agree that local food taste really really good and cheap too!! We went to a diving spot to check it out on the first day that we got here and found a local place to eat and the food was really good and cheap. One thing is that it took so long to get out food though.

It's Roatan an island off of Honduras it's a really beautiful island with beautiful diving spot as well as beaches.

Have fun and relax. I am so envious, diving, I can only snorkel!

By the way, no matter where you go (We always go to the Carribbean), The food is expensive. St Martin French side beach bbq shacks charged liked a 5 star restaurant!

Lol! I can't even swim much less snorkel! I sis can dive though since she has a diving licensed and I don't. I just don't see the need to get a diving licensed since I don't go anywhere because I don't have the money to do it. My sis is the one that is paying for this vacation cause I don't have enough money. XD
