The sound of the fireworks is mixing with the hot of summer’s day. “Let’s go look fireworks!” He said he want to meet with me at seven in the evening. I look at my watch. It’s already 7.05 in the evening.
Bang. Bang.
I heard the sound of the fireworks. I close my eyes. “Keito!” I look at the one who just calling me. “Uwahh! You look cool today, Keito. It’s make my love towards you is going bigger and bigger towards you.” My eyes now widened as he said it with a loud voice. “Thanks.” I know that my face is now blushing. “You look so cute when you’re blushing. Let’s go.” He took my hand. “Ah.” That’s the only words I can say while the two of us have walk side to side by now. “I love you.”
It’s have been one month since I and Yuto is going out. He’s my classmate. He always says that he like me. Today, I want to tell him to that I love him too.

“Keito!” He hug me from behind. It’s ...” I cant continue the words. It’s hard for me to say those words. Suddenly, Yuto kiss me and that make me pull my face. “Keito, if you like me, you will forgive me right?” Yuto said and his hand now caressing my hair and whispering to me “One fireworks same with one kiss.” I know that my face is now blushing towards the words he just said earlier. “Ah. It’s so beautiful!” He said as there are fireworks been fire. “Eh? Hmm...” is he understood? If I kiss him, will he know that I like him so much?
“I like the cute side of you, Keito.” He said. “Ah! Me too!” I just can say it at my heart. “Yosh. Let’s go eat something! Do you want to play a game?”He said while his hand is gripping my hand tightly not wanting to lost me. I ever ask him, why he liked me. Yuto. He gives me the answer.

“Yeay! I got so many.” Yuto said while we play the ‘Catching Gold Fish’. After that, the two of us walk. When he told me a joke, I laughing to hear that. “When you’re laughing you’re so cute!” He said with a loud voice while hugging me and there are other people that look at us. “Wait...” “Don’t mind them.” He said while smile. “That’s right. Because all of your doing is full with a surprising. I love you, Yuto.” I said and hugging him back. Why is it so hard for me to say just those 3 words. It’s make my love towards you is going bigger and bigger towards you.” I walk towards the place we have been go last year. “One fireworks same with one kiss.” I walk towards the ‘Catching Gold Fish’ stall. “Eh? You... where’s your happy-go-lucky friends?” The owner of the stall still remember about the two of us. I just stare blankly towards the gold fish and says to the owner of that stall.
“He...has gone. The day after the fireworks festival last year...he got an accident.” Yuto... The sound of the fireworks is still same as last year. But, it’s not beautiful...like that time. Because, the fireworks that we see together is more beautiful than this.
Flashback.
“This is a good place. There’s not so many people here.” Yuto said. “Un.” I said as the two of us stare at the fireworks when he suddenly leaned his head towards my shoulder. My face is now so hot. “Did you get tired? Want me to buy you something to drink?” “No. I don’t need it. I just want to stay here.” He said and I cant hide that I’m so embarrassed now. A chuckle. “You’re so kind. I love you, Keito.” A silence and Yuto broke it. “Ne, you’re so cool when you play the guitar, you know? Make a song for me one day, ne?” He said. “I will.” That was my answer towards him. “When I’m little, I think that fireworks expand cross-wise. So, if look from down cant see it.” I said towards him about when I’m little.
“Ah. We’re the same. Look at anyway, it’s still same. Not recent, I think this place is a special place where people want to look at the fireworks.” He said. “Keito, next year, let’s see the fireworks together too.” He continue. “Next year too?” I said. “Yeah. Next year and the year after next year… forever. We will go to the fireworks festival together forever, Keito.”

He’s now gone. I sit at the place where Yuto and I sit last year. I stare at ground blankly. My world now is so empty. “I love you, Yuto.” The first person confess to me. The first person asks me to go out. The first person kisses me. The first person that promise to be together. “Love. I love you.” I should say it at the beginning. I should show him more of my love towards him. “Yuto.” Why me? When he has lost, I just know now that how important are you to me.

I felt my lips being press by someone when the fireworks are fire. It was Yuto. “I knew it. You love me didn’t you, Keito?” I can’t hold the tears that have build up. Is that...just a fantasy or reality? “Yuto, I love you” I said between the sobbing. Now, there’s no one who can wipe my tears anymore.
The fireworks that blossoms at the night of summer have show me a miracle. Just for a few moments, he leaves his warmer towards me and he has gone with the light of the fireworks. The thing that Yuto always do will always be a surprising one.

Today was Yuto first anniversary. I’m going to visit his grave when suddenly someone calls for my name. When I look behind, there’s someone that I didn’t know having a bouquet at his hand and he place it at Yuto’s grave. “Who are you?” That’s my first question towards the strangers. He just smile towards me and look at Yuto’s grave and said “I have found him, Yuto. I will keep my promise towards you. I’ll promise.” He said before he turn and look at me. “I’m Hikaru. Yaotome Hikaru. Yuto’s cousin. Nice to meet you, Keito-kun.” He smiled. And I just blinked my eyes for a few time. And when I know, he hug me. “Just cry if you want to cry. Don’t hold it. That will make Yuto sad to see at your condition.” And before I know I hug him back and the tears falling from my eyes. “Yuto has a request towards me. It was to be by your side when he has gone. So, could you stay with me, Keito?”
