Before I say anything, this typo made me giggle: Mustang dawned his glove - "donned" is the word you're looking for.
Now.
I knew Ed and Winry would be in the church. I hadn't quite expected Al to be there, as well, but it was nervewracking following Mustang, Hawkeye and Havoc down underground to find them. And whatever horrors Ed's seen since their arrival back home are going to make for another innnntersting chapter, I hope.
Over!Protective!Ed is one of my favorite versions of Ed, that he'll challenge anyone to keep his family safe makes me get all gooey inside.

I figured people would guess that's where Ed and Winry would be dropped off, so I'm glad that it was nervewracking to send Mustang down there... I didn't want it to be anti-climactic or somesuch.
I love OverProtective!Ed - he makes me happy and gooey too.
I had to read that line a few times to get an idea what you were talking about, really. My brain just stuck, like a broken record. :D
The church being destroyed was a nice touch, BTW. I liked that a lot. (See, Ed? You can get rid of the pathway through the worlds without...oh, never mind.)
Ed's good at making gooey, happy women (envies Winry).

wow... this story is brilliant, I just read the whole thing in 4 days. you're an amazing author, and I can see the improvement from the early chapters... When is the next chapter coming out? can't wait to find out what happends next!

Thank you very much! :D Glad you took the time to read it! It's nice to know I've been able to show improvements in my writing throughout the story. The next chapter will be sometime soon I hope! IRL has been super hectic and then my laptop with the story on it died, but I'm working on recovering it. I have a mostly-complete version of the next chapter on a pen drive... it's just everything else D: blah.
