Who: Hiei, Suzuki, Rinku

When: Evening
Summary: The three arrive outside their hotel (post here buddettes :D )

Even in the orange evening glow, it had only taken a few seconds for Rinku- ignorantly rugged up in the biggest jacket he could steal from Chuu's wardrobe- to realise his one greatest mistake. Iceland...wasn't ( Read more... )

Upon receiving the necessary items, Rinku flipped open the brochure, paying no mind to the advertising as he began to make note of "important features"...such as the pool.
Sure, this wasn't a vacation, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy it.
"So we're not doing anything tonight then?" Weren't they in a hurry? What if whatever this evil was finished its business over night? He doubted it would stop to rest..

Even though he wasn't 100% okay with working with Hiei, it would be better than letting the fire daemon go alone. Not for Hiei's wellbeing or anything, just because Rinku was so sick of being bound to a ningen life and school, and the opportunity for a possible fight was too good to turn down. Even better than staying back and enjoying the wonders of the hotel..

Rinku shrugged it off, taking hold of his own luggage and dragging it towards the elevator. Like hell he was going to use the stairs.

Suzuki shrugged, following Rinku with his own luggage. "Well, seeing as it is our first day, perhaps we should go looking for the shard, and when dusk approaches, we can relax here," the blonde suggested, staring at the elevator glass. He looked down as the box approached, and snatched the brochure from his smaller companion's hands. "Saaa... What is the nature of this place? It seems very nice, swanked up. I wonder how much our Princey spent on it~" he chirped smugly.

“I don’t plan on doing anything tonight…and the two of you shouldn’t worry…aside from our own I haven’t picked up any other presence even remotely similar to our own with the Jagan,” he said discreetly, not mentioning the word yokai. With one foot on the steps he glanced over at the other two boarding the elevator, “and besides, what good would it do to go fumbling around in the dark for it without knowing its exact location. We know the relative location and that is all. I should be able to pick it up with the Jagan. The enemy wont find it before we do…I assure you…simply because of this,” Hiei pointed to his glowing bandana. Sure the Jagan wasn’t natural, but it gave him exactly what he needed. After saying his peace Hiei left Suzuki to gawk at the brochure and Rinku and their painfully slow ride up the elevator. Hiei could cover miles in less time than it took to ride the elevator, so why not take the stairs, and so he did and he reached their room unlocking the door for his companions and dumping his things in the bedroom on the ( ... )

The elevator fell to a stop without a sound, metal doors sliding open to reveal a family of holidaying ningen. Rinku waited for them to pass before hopping into the box. Once both youkai were inside, he pressed the buttons for the doors to close and for the 48th floor.
He wasn't completely behind in the way of technology.

Once they were shut safely inside the elevator, which began to make its way up the hotel, Rinku stepped back, idly watching the numbers above the door rise.
'So now we have problems here and Japan, huh? I wonder how big this invasion really is.'

Suzuki, also, was leaning back against the elevator wall, gazing as the numbers steadily increased above the door. Floor three was not so far away from floor forty-eight... Pssh. Quality time with Rinku! "Well, the way I see it, thus far they have not hurt many of us, who are trying to ... eh, save the world," he said carefully, avoiding the word 'Ningenkai.' "And they have not hurt any ... people, that I know of," the blonde spoke slowly, his brow knitting slightly. "So, where their approach is not directly violent, that is where it worries me. We could either say they are weak for not blowing everything up in mass genocide... Or we could say they are patient for the same reason. My vote is that they are patient, and tactic. And that is what worries me." A pause. "Not for the world, though, mind you," he added, looking to Rinku. "For myself, and my... friends, and such. We're the opposing force here. Their goal to dominate includes not only the world, but their enemies. Us. Ne?"

Hiei idly wondered what the hell was keeping those two, but then he remembered they took the elevator. Well at least they could enjoy their ride up to the suite they were staying in. In the meantime Hiei discarded the light jacket he was wearing on his bed and removed his bandanna. If they were going to find this mirror shard they would have to know its location. They were in Reykjavík, Iceland’s biggest city and so there would be a lot of pollution and noise for him to filter out, but as long as they were in the vicinity he could pinpoint the location and they could go after the piece of glass first thing in the morning.
