Photopost: Saskatoon Riverbank Graffiti

I couldn't sleep at all last night. I rolled around for a while, and after a few hours of that, gave up on sleep altogether. I was awake when the sun rose, and after thinking about what to do with my morning, I decided to go down to the river to take photos of graffiti.

Man, there was way more new stuff than I expected. Shooting these was awesome. ( Read more... )

Last of your older photos is Master Shake from the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim series "Aqua Teen Hunger Force".

Also, just wanted to add, I'm a graffiti junkie -- I love the stuff. I know I have some pics in my LJ scrapbook...

Aha! I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves graffiti and street art. ;3;

Is it often you come across nice-looking stuff? I must admit, living here, it's the only place I have come across where the graffiti tends to be paintings rather than tags. (Might be because of the large concentration of hippies in this part of the city, or something)

Ohh hell yes. Love the Duck Hunt one! Which reminds me that a friend of mine did some Mario-related ... well, I guess you could call them Lego graffitis, they're pretty darn cool: http://i31.tinypic.com/2hf0v20.jpg

I know right! Too bad some people are so dense and rip them off walls and take home etc. D: ... or alternatively they just need to be glued in places where people won't even bother trying to climb.

I just recently found my old lego bricks too, if you get any cool ideas let me know! 8D

Oh man, I'd want to steal a few and bring them home so the weather doesn't ruin them. But they're probably painted on or lodged under huge rocks, huh? Still, very cool. *3*

Dude, the rocks these paintings are on, they're enormous. I mean -- most of them, they're so big, even two people working together wouldn't be able to lift 'em (let alone get them back up the riverbank...)

So as much as one would want to take them home -- haa, not possible. o3o
