I actually enjoyed that. Not that I wouldn't have, but- most things for Noir that I've read lately haven't really worked. This did, because Kirika's actions were so very Kirika; playing pool for the noise, not liking the sudden silence... And the way it felt, because it wasn't happily ever after, but it was close enough for them. That made it feel right. *grins*
