This was interesting enough for me to read through, but I can't help feeling this fic was totally not "finished," lol. I liked the part it ended at, granted, but it just wasn't an ending to the fic as a whole. It would have been more effective were there some sort of actual closing section to it, imho...

Thanks for reading and commenting. I do have a tendency to rush to the finish sometimes, especially when there's a deadline as there was for this piece. I'll have to look it over again and see if the ending might be improved upon.

That was so...interesting is the word that pops into my head. But it's a good interesting, interesting as in original. And the ending was truly beautiful.

The Kozue/Juri pairing seems like total crack, but I love it so. It was Alithea who turned me on to it. Her Kozue/Juri work is wonderful.

Thanks for reading and commenting. It's funny the pairings that seem like total crack are usually the one's that appeal to me that most. I'll have to look up Alithea's Kozue/Juri work. I thought I should tell you the idea of this story actually had its genesis in a comment you'd made to a meme I did suggesting I write something pairing Akio and Yuuto from X1999. I actually started trying to think up a scenario to bring those two together and remembered that Yuuto has a younger sister. I had this idea where she could be a student at Ohtori Academy and after Anthy and Utena leave Akio could plot to install Yuuto and his sister as the new powers of Dios and the Rose Bride. Of course then I realized that there are more than enough brother/sister combos in the Utena universe that Akio would hardly need to expand into Clamp territory to find one.

Okay, I have to admit, I didn't actually read the story. I've never read the source material.

But I had to give you props on your disclaimer, because it's one of the best I've ever seen. Seriously. I take the things more seriously than I should, probably....

I started using this disclaimer in response to the LJ Strikethrough controversy of last month. I can't take credit for it. I adapted from snegurochka_lee 's journal but it really seemed to express everything that needed to be said in a very concise manner.

I really enjoyed the idea of this - Miki/Kozue replacing Anthy/Akio; the Rose Bride gender swap - would have loved to read more. Your Kozue maintained that specific brand of villainy she has in the series; Juri, too, was well played. I love the ending - totally surprised me. Some of the dialogue was a little bit off, but overall an excellent read, well constructed. If you decide to write a sequel, please do post a link! ^^

Thank you so much for reading and commenting, I'm glad you liked it. This was my first full length Revolutionary Girl Utena piece and I am interested in delving further into this particular universe. While I'm not sure if I'm going to go further with this particular story/pairing I do want to write more on Kozue/Miki, who I consider one of the most intriguing pairings of the series, and also on what happens to Othori Academy after Anthy leaves.

Oh, this is fascinating! I love the description of the way the world changed when Anthy and Utena leave, and the idea behind the whole thing is just really original. And I love the way Juri ends up comparing Shiori and Kozue, and the way it makes her think about what it means to deserve love.
