What am I really going to do after UCSD?

Strangers start conversations with you at school. They'll often ask about your major. Each time I explain my situation, I feel like I belong less and less at UCSD, but... I get this anxious and nervous feeling trying to imagine myself anywhere else ( Read more... )

Most people come out overeducated and underemployed.

Do whatever you wanna do Amanda. If you wanna go to FIDM then go. You can definitely overcome those obstacles.

Who cares if you don't look/act/whatever like them! That makes you unique in a really good way, and that type of uniqueness will make you a more prized commodity in whatever field you're interested in. Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to quantify your career existence; I am definitely not trying to do that. haha I love you ok? And I have faith in you. Go for it.

I think you are wonderful, skilled, and awesome. Don't worry about if something is right or wrong for you. Just go for what your gut instinct is telling you. You have a passion, I say you should pursue it. My friend told me about a girl who graduated from UC Berkeley with a psych degree and how she is at FIDM now. You don't have to go to FIDM exactly. Just choose the program that is right for you. You can do it girl! Anyway, we need to meet more often. Keep it real homes.
