Oh, lovely! And yes, I think it has more impact if you know the story, or at least makes more sense, though a newbie would at least have pretty feels and realize that the show has action and character development. Whereas the rest of us are saying OMG rooftop, cameras, Grace, Jessica, etc. OW OW. Very nice job!

This is so lovely -- the sense of John just so LONGING to be let in, to be part of Harold's work and to have communion with him, finding healing and happiness in it, it's perfect. Is this on tumblr somewhere I can reblog?

Thank you so much! Yes, definitely -- I ended up leaving this out of the final draft, but I love the way he goes from being "behind enemy lines" in the flashback to tentatively being part of a community.
