The more slam poetry I watch the more I like it. Written poetry is often beyond me. There is some I like, and I can recognize its beauty, but I often don't "get it".

I'm familiar with traditiaional poetry, but not so much slam poetry. This was great advocacy for it-- I'll be coming back to try some of these links!

I also love me some spoken word :) Last year I was on a little spoken word tour in the UK and it was so cool to see so many other poets! I'm sure you've seen beautyofgrey's entry this week, it's spoken word and lovely.
