lolol it made me especially mad because I was like 'wait a moment, she did all of this great stuff and all i got was the hallmark bullshit?' and it made me angry as a deaf dude. BUT THEN AGAIN, it's in par with America's love for EDUCATOR-HERO stories. With the focus on Anne Sullivan over Keller -- we need a Helen Keller movie for the modern day with Sandra Bullock playing Sullivan.

Ngl, even after knowing what I know now I never fail to be schooled by Wiki when I'm looking up info on past socialists/leftists/pacifists/movements. The amount of sanitization that goes on in our history education is pretty epic. And the sad thins is that in a lot of cases I can't even blame it on a conspiracy to ice out those stories but simply on a dismissal of movements and activism as unimportant or on sheer ignorance being passed on from one generation to the next.
