You definitely did not butcher characterization. I have to say I am a sucker for a good Duke friendship scene and that muffin one made my insides melt. That was so sweet and very Duke-ish. And then there was how awesome Nathan was. I think you did a great job with him being kind of this steadfast person for her. Great story!
