"St. Nikolaus and the Krampus"
This is the line art of that unfinished Hetalia Christmas-themed fanart I mentioned in my journal.
I never got around to coloring it due to my many distractions over Christmas. ^^;
For a little bit of explanation (even though this is way, waaaay late)...
The Feast of St. Nicholas is celebrated on December 6 every year in many European countries. In the bibliography of the Trapp Family Singers (who came from Salzburg, Austria... I admittedly read this book diligently when I was young), at the eve of the feast, St. Nicholas is said to visit each household carrying a big book, wherein one can find the names of the family members (and not just the kids), along with their misdeeds for the year. If they haven't been very naughty, they get to have treats. If they were, they get to have a reprimand and a lump of coal.
The Krampus is a scary figure who accompanies St. Nicholas as his helper (in many parts of the Habsburg Empire, including Austria and Hungary, at least. He's known as something else in other locations). He's usually the one who hands out the punishments, and is used by parents to scare their children into behaving. I ended up using Spain for him because I thought it would be fun to tease Romano. :XD:
Oh, St. Nicholas came from Turkey, thus the reason why he's there.

Oh, I added Belarus as Grandpa Frost's helper, Snegurochka, just because. :XD:
Very sketchy, and Santa!Finland looks like he's quite slanted to the left, but it's past the holiday season already, so please forgive me that I had not been very particular with how they're drawn...

Because although Sackboy is cute, Sackboy!Austria and Sackgirl!Hungary is even cuter. :XD:
Yes, I've been playing a lot of LittleBigPlanet 2 lately. :D
(The first installment is the game that finally pushed me to buy a PS3, after all.)
