Last week was the double bill of ridiculousness that was Comedy Bang Bang Nativity Pageant and the LACMA Live Read of The Princess Bride. Long story short, it was one of the greatest weeks in the history of ever. I will now take this opportunity to detail them with pictures and too many words:

These are the times when I miss living in Southern CA. I miss doing things like this. I *love* The Princess Bride, and this post made me want to watch it, but it's in my classroom. :( The whole concept of the Live Read sounds awesome.

I find LA a chore to deal with most of the time, but things like Live Read (and The Princess Bride!) make it all worthwhile.

Also, hi! I had no idea you still hung around the ol' LJ.

What a fab experience I would have DIED to have been there. I am jealous, thank you for sharing it all!

My one question. WhoTF is Colette Wolfe and why was she on stage with those AMAZING actors? I had to look her up and she is boring as crap!imho. ;)

Sweet baby jeebus, Live Read was fantastic. I wish they would sell the video of it so more people can bask in its amazingness.

I had to look up Colette Wolfe, too. She was in Jason Reitman's last film, Young Adult, and he tends to use people he's worked with for Live Read. She was in the last Live Read of The Apartment, too, and was passable there. She did nothing for The Princess Bride, though.

I'm pretty sure there's a long line of ladies who wouldn't mind a fake-make out session, much less real-make out session with Paul Rudd.
