Refrain - Lyrics and Translation

Aug 06, 2010 04:38

Interesting. . . I'd originally thought the title "Refrain" was referring to the term in a musical sense -- a line or phrase that's repeated over and over in a song. But after translating this, I'm thinking the "refrain" being used means "to hold back".

I'm so in love with this song...Aiba's voice is overwhelming...it really hurts, kind of...that's the voice and sound I was hoping for in terms of Aiba
and I didn't even know it had such great/strong lyrics
I've also thought the refrain is supposed to refer to the music, but it's more about the "us from back then" which couldn't be "truthful" to each other and themself....it's not about hoping to repeat it and doing it right this time, I think, but more about to never forget and hearing and feeling it again and again, so not to repeat the silence
