Urgh, just as the title states. I feel very dizzy right now. It's probably because of how hot it was in the afternoon and how strenuous (somewhat) our activities were. But, at least, the summer training is done and I have my summer back~
So, since I've been "active" both in real life and LJ, lemme end my being very active by quickly saying what happened today. Both the good and bad.
So, yeah, I woke up pretty late today...very close to 7...but only got up after 7:15. :/ I had to prepare my lunch and pack some stuff in my bag so that took me about 30 minutes or a little less. I finished taking a bath real fast and got to school by 8:10. I was supposed to be late but our commandant was even later so I was, technically, not late. :D
We were regrouped into 6 for the whole team building thing. The first activity we did was this thing where we had to pass through a square (around 2 feet wide) that was suspended 2-3 feet above the ground and we were not allowed to touch it in anyway. Not even a single hair strand! And, all members had to pass. If someone accidentally hit it while passing, we all had to redo it. And what's worse was there were two of us who were overweight there! In the end, our group won as the fastest to finish it. The two other groups were supposed to win but the first one wasn't able to finish the first time and the second one was technically disqualified for initially breaking it. But they were given a second chance which our commandant sort of added to their previous time so we ended up faster. :D
The next activity was kadang-kadang. (sorry, I don't know what it is in english) Our group lost here. (I can't find a picture of the version of kadang-kadang we did)
The last actual activity was that we had to make a tall tower made out of drinking straws and rubber bands, but the rubber bands were limited and we had to do 10 push-ups/pumps for one more rubber band. In the end, we had the tallest one (even though we had to flatten its base, it was still the tallest) but we had the least sturdy base, so, nobody really won.
After that, we just played basketball/volleyball and whatever other games for 2 hours.
When I got home, I was really pissed off. First off, my mom texted me during the summer program telling me to wake her up at 4:45 even though I told her we were going home at 5. Apparently, nobody listens to me when I tell them these stuff. And to make matters worse, I was very tired, stressed out and dizzy. But, I get home to even more stress. Turns out, we were leaving in thirty minutes from when I arrived. Whenever I'm stressed, I'm depressed. So, during the whole ride to Yakimix in SM:MoA, I was on self-hate mode. My companions weren't making things any better. Thanks to the puppy I saw in the window in one of the shops in whatever place that was (we had to transfer to another Yakimix branch), I got happier. But what truly cheered me up was the ice cream. Yum!
Oh yeah, before I leave, did I ever mention that everybody in our summer program who has attended at least one of the First Aid lectures knows me as Miriam even though my name is far from that? My initials are L.A.C.L.DC, no M there. All I know was that for whatever reason, my accent (I don't have the standard "accent" most Filipinos from my place have/ I have a very slight American accent and I mean very slight) made our first aid lecturer call me Miriam. As in, Miriam Defensor Santiago. (I really don't think I sound like her.) Some of them actually thought it was my name (after all, our commandant handled students from my school and one other school). I don't know if some of my schoolmates actually thought it was my name or what. Some of them, I know, are just teasing me, others probably don't remember my real name. I was actually quite appalled and amused at the same time when one of my school mates called me Miriam. He was laughing so I think he knows that it is not my name.
Good night!
