I just found your post randomly, but I believe 2p Hetalia started when Hima made some "2p" or "2nd player" version of some of the countries and fans built on it. Essencially, they are opposites of original and have a different color sceme. For example, 2pAmerica is a vegetarian and 2pEngland can cook. The most popular designs (at least for America and England), since most are fan-made, are done by uh-oh beek on Tumblr.
