I like seeing Arthur worrying about being a paedophile for falling in love with Alfred. I don't like the angst and sadness it brings him, but I think it's a pretty realistic worry for him to have in their relationship - at least at the beginning. How do you move past the notion that "this is the child I raised and now he's my lover"??!! I'm sure they work it out eventually, because it is true love 5ever and they are meant for each other. But still, at the beginning, it must be really awkward. I love how you handled it. It didn't make him SEEM like a paedophile or pervert, but you displayed his worries and axieties very well.
And Alfred was just the sweetest thing! I love him having his first time with Arthur (even though they didn't actually get there).

The ending (holding hands while drinking, not having to say anything) was so touching! Very subtle, but made me full of hope that they can sort it out.

Oh my goodness. I read this on a whim (I'm supposed to be doing real person things) but I'm SO glad I did. It was just so heartbreakingly beautiful and sad, I've never seen England's inner turmoil over his kind-of weird relationship with America described in such a way. Simply beautiful, and now I'm thinking too much ♥
