I'm a touch late, but I'm here to attempt an answer to your question. Mizu does tend to act with her hands somewhat, HOWEVER it is much less noticeable in her more standard hero roles as far as I've seen. The 'Death hand gestures' tend to be more prominent and sinister when she plays villains (Death, being supernatural, kind of gets lumped in with that). She also tends to hold her hands in the air in a certain way when dancing - so much so that I have been able to identify her when she had her back to the camera. XD

Thanks! I've yet to see Mizu in anything else, so it'll be interesting to see how she does it in non-villainy roles.

One of my favourite of her non-villian roles is Barak from Calaf and Turandot, as far as I can remember there's far less hands. She also shows off her stage fighting skills a lot in that.
