Some of my favourite scenes were her stumbling in drunk and disturbing Wolf and Leonard's male bonding
Ah, that scene was my favorite too :)
Anna, her character was unusual in this performance, eh? But I liked it. :D Usually she got a pure girl kind role, such as Felicia, Murasaki no Ue, or Christine.
Anyway, Matobu Sei was also quite cool in her portrayal of Orlando. Oh? Maybe I should go to rewatch. I didn't like Orlando, because ... I didn't like Yuu-san's hair style as Orlando. *blushes*
But I can't quite believe her character is what Wolf is supposed to be, an ex-killer who had a spiritual crisis or whatever.
I share same opinion. I would love to watch another version of this, since I keep thinking something isn't right.
All in all, I'd say this show much more than their Elisabeth made me want to learn more about Hanagumi.
Eh, eh? I would be happy if you want to discuss Hanagumi with me, anytime :D YM or MSN maybe?
You know, I don't know whether it was unconventional - I think it was my first show with her!
*g* The hairstyle was... unflattering, but I often find otokoyaku scenic hairstyles unflattering, I must admit. Like, with Mizu the standard otokoyaku getup seems to do everything to make her look her worst. (Osa's hair in this show, however, suits her much better than the Death wig)
There is no other version of this, is there? Is this a musical written especially for this cast?
I have YM, but I am far from sure I can say anything intelligent about Hanagumi! This is, I think, the fourth show in total that I've seen with them, the other three being Sorrowful Cordoba with Anju Mira, Elisabeth and Season of Angels (which I was confused by, and loved mainly for Asako with dreadlocks). With that disclaimer, I would love to chat, squee, whatever.
I loved Ayabuki Mao here much more than I did with her Franz Joseph (btw, she's one of those 'siennes that confuse me with their troupe history - there are some whom I keep finding, it seems, in any troupe's show)
Ditto. Of all the shows I've got/seen so far (21 or so I believe), she's in a fair few of them. It's becoming a bit of a running joke with me that she keeps appearing in shows without me realising that she's in them. And then when she's not there, I end up missing her. XD
*laughs* I looked her up right now, and she only was in two troupes, but still. Maybe it's because she was in several Elisabeths, at least for me - I am an Elisabeth fan.
I'm an Elisabeth fan too, though I've not seen as many versions as you I think.
Yumiko love crept up on me because she was nibante to both Mizu and Osa, both of whom I aim to see as much of as possible, therefore I see twice as much of her as I might've other Siennes. Also I bought an older era special on a whim and there she was (and in a dress at one point, no less). So now, whenever I review a show that she's in, I HAVE to mention her performance even if she wasn't in it that much lol.
