Now, South Pacific I have seen 4 times, so I probably have more coherent things to tell (just for your information: given time and money, I'd go again. And not just because of Tom. Though mostly because of her, of course

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm happy that this will be on DVD.
I'm glad that you liked Mishiro Ren, she often gets to do kind of oddball side-characters so it was nice to hear that she got a more substantial role this time.
It sounds like Tom got a suitable role here and one with some range. I'm glad that they are opting to give her somewhat older characters nowadays. I really liked her Kean and Onegin, she has the experience and skill to deal with characters that have sides that are less nice than the standard Takarazuka hero.
Yes, Mishiro Ren really did have space to show what she could do.
I love when Tom gets many-sided characters to play - I hope they will keep giving her stuff like this. Here she had a bit of everything, from sweetness to heroics, and it was lovely.
Wow, I didn't even know you had been to Japan until now. (I really should start reading my f-list again.) It sounds like you had a great time.
I am happy that you liked South Pacific. I wish I could have seen it too. Hinami Fuu's been one of my favorite Hoshigumi underclassmen for quite a while now and I was really excited she got the female lead here. I think I may have to buy the DVD. :)
*laughs* Maybe you should, but then again, nothing much is happening...
And yes, great time - Zuka-wise and otherwise (I have also seen Chie, Nene, Beni and tons of other Hoshi-people come to Monte-Cristo, and Toyoko and Remi at South Pacific)
I am watching some earlier Hoshi stuff now, and Hinami Fuu is really good there too, but in South Pacific she had an opportunity to blossom.
