R&J ponderings

Hmmm, on one hand, Ema Naoki and Miho Keiko - that's cool. On the other hand, R&J doesn't have that many named roles in any case, so...  *is thinking lots of thoughts* Nurse and Father Laurence? Or what?

actress:ema naoki, actress:miho keiko, show:romeo and juliette, tsukigumi love

Thus far Nurse tended to go star track, so maybe Miho Keiko's going to be one of the mothers?

Possibly, but I am not quite sure who'd be Nurse then? Otokoyaku again? I don't think I am quite fond of the Magee!Nurse ide which people have been talking about. And if musumeyaku, then... Mira? (also, Lady Montague is not much fun, imho, and I'd really love to see Suzuna as Lady Capulet, so)

Lady Montague is smaller, but it has some pyrotechnic vocals and one grieving scene complete with a scene-stealing scream and breakdown. It made me notice Kawai Mizuho for the first time, actually. :)

Not star-track, but wonderful for a non-star musumeyaku with the vocals and acting to make smaller, character parts work; I'd love Keiko, Akane, or Suzuna.

*nods* Basically potential for interesting stuff in any case... (and yeah, actually I noticed Kawai Mizuho there, too) And this makes me think that they probably _aren't_ about to cast Magee as Nurse - I couldn't really get fond of that idea.

With the addition of Keiko, I think we can't lose, whatever the onnayaku casting is.

Otokoyaku-wise, I am strangely not fond of the idea of kumichou as Father Laurence - but if not her and not Junko, then who? *suddenly wondering about Magee*

Ayazuki Seri sounds likely. And yes, there's too few prominent roles, but mostly the problem is this imbalance - lots of young talented people and not enough senior people within the troupe (how many roles for the young ones? Benvolio, Mercutio, Paris, Love... Death seems to go to the really young ones)
