At times, Matsumoto Jun would wake up with his alarm clock by his bedside not working because the person who yanked its batteries out was the same as the one he spent an awesome yet tiring night with; like today, when he was supposed to go running and missed it because he woke up two hours later. Jun was not a morning person and so he thought he could remedy it by exercising (and taking a wonderful cup of roast blended coffee) but already, his plans were jeopardized and his whole faith in his plan was crushed.
Jun could not get mad at the person who did it though when he saw Aiba’s sleeping face by his side - peaceful, and although Jun was not one for obvious sappiness, he’d always make an exception for Aiba who looked angelic at the moment, even if he had no idea what angels were supposed to really look like.
At least this way we can pretend time stopped and have this for as long as we like? Jun could already hear Aiba’s reason coupled with his infamous ‘oops’ smile he always used when he did something wrong, like dissecting his mechanical alarm, saying his apologies over and over even if he didn’t really mean it. And if Jun was going to be honest with himself, he wanted the same as Aiba - to stay a little longer for a while, to enjoy the freedom that accompanied the hours off he had and more so when it coincided with Aiba’s.
How long has it been since he fell this hard in love?
He gazed at the figure beside him who only had his (still naked) lower half covered by Jun’s chocolate brown sheets and smiled. Jun could probably give an exact date if he thought hard enough but it wouldn’t really matter since he and Aiba came to be. They experienced a lot with other people than themselves but even if they did matter to Jun, it only served as learning points that helped nurture his relationship with Aiba. And right now, aside from his family, Arashi, and the fans who supported them all this time, Aiba was the only one who mattered, and Jun suspected it would stay that way.
The said guy turned to face him, eyebrows furrowing as the sunlight peaking from Jun’s curtains hit his face. Slowly Aiba’s eyelids flutter open and Jun didn’t have the chance to fix his expression to his trademark scowl that he always wore in the morning.
Luckily, Aiba didn’t seem to recognize the difference.
“Jun-chan, you’re awake? Could you draw you curtains close please?”
“You messed up with my alarm clock.”
“We can talk about that later. Right now, I need you to close the curtains and come to bed with me.”
“And they say I’m demanding” but followed Aiba’s instructions anyway.
“Thanks, now if you could cuddle here with me it would be perfect.”
“What would you have done if it was a work day?” Jun pretended to be annoyed but already, Aiba was pretending to be asleep, even faking snores of Sho’s caliber to which Jun instinctively laughed. Jun knew that Aiba wouldn’t pull off such a feat if work was involved but whenever he brought it out, Aiba debunked him in mysteriously effective ways.
“This conversation is not over.” Jun spoke as he went back to bed and snuggled up to Aiba, catching the latter grin as he did; the clock in his bedside forgotten.
