Oh god this was awesome.

I think my favorite touch was that when he went to confession, it was seven minutes to midnight...but the moment, where he says "I'm sorry" and goes was so poignant. And how Mohinder makes a difference, makes Sylar want to regret, but he can't stop.

Ugh. Miserable life. And yet, amazing fic.

This fic actually makes me a lot sadder than my angst week one. ;_;

Thank you! It was originally just supposed to be a Sylar exploration piece, but I found I couldn't really do that without Mohinder creeping in, so I just went with it. ^_^

GUH. Just...absolutely, devastingly lovely. I really, really, REALLY loved it to tiny bits and pieces. The beginning, though---when Sylar was a kid---that was my favorite part of the whole fic. I love it when authors explore Gabriel's childhood, and you did it splendidly with taking the cat apart, and his father introducing him to watches as a substitute.

Outstanding work.

Aw, thanks! *^_^* I've been fascinated by that idea for a while, with the cat and everything, and I'm glad I got the chance to use it.

At first I was all 'EW! Cat-disecting!' and felt slightly ill.
Then I was sad.
The confession-scene nearly got me to cry.
The last bits, with 'Zane' and depressing smut, was just beautiful.

Sylar lies back, and waits for the inevitable.
