I finally saw Meg's fiance today, and it was only a little weird. We didn't talk much -- I was too preoccupied with their new dog, and I think he was grateful for it. It's rather hard to know how to act around someone you know but that doesn't know you anymore

My kids would love to see some of that snow. It doesn't look like we'll have any for Christmas. We've got plenty of cold temps, though.

I just can't even imagine how the situation with your friend's fiance must feel. Having a little doggie to coo over WOULD help. ^_^

I would love to have some of this snow sent down your way. Just some, not all of it as I don't think that would be appreciated.

And having a little dog to smother with love definitely helps everyone out. They both really enjoy having one.
