[Dressed in a casual skirt and top, Mikuru had a light blouse on, her hair pulled up as she looked around with wide, confused eyes. This had to be the place. Although the city was fairly small, there were still several places within it she had yet to venture to. This was one of them.
I'm not normally late.
One to generally arrive on time, Mikuru was accustomed to leaving early. Today hadn't been an exception, especially considering the subject matter that would be her topic of discussion for the afternoon. But shortly after leaving the house, she'd been pulled aside by a man who had said he'd enjoyed her display and costume while doing something that had to do with vampires. He'd made her nervous, and she hadn't known how to respond. Luckily, someone and come to her rescue and had moved the man along. It had caused an unexpected setback however.]
This is it though...
[The 'Cat's Eye Cafe' waved in the light breeze of the now nearing autumn wind, and she stepped forward, opening the door. Large brown eyes

I don't mind. Next time I can pick it up myself. It's really whatever is most convenient for you. Here in the city, at least for people our own age, it isn't really a financial burden to do most anything.
[Folding her hands in her lap, her cheeks were flushed a little as she situated herself. Her mind unwittingly wanted to fall back onto the curse day in which she'd found herself with Itsuki in the gardens. That had been more than embarrassing. Technically the two of them right now weren't doing anything wrong, or even on the sort of 'date' that someone would suspect. If the wrong person was to think they were though, she didn't want to think of the consequences. At least, it was much easier with Itsuki, then it would have been with someone like Kyon.]
Um...this is a nice cafe, it's kind of tucked away. I heard that their tea is very good here.
[Spying the faint blush on her cheeks he tilted his head to the side before smiling again. He wondered what she thinking about, whether it be reflecting back on something or her embarrassment if they ever got caught here alone. Then he remembered the last time they were alone together in person. Ah yes, that was probably it. That curse was particularly humiliating for the both of them. To think that a single curse could take over your sense of self so completely; it was terrifying knowing that one day you could wake up and do something that contradicts your very will.]
[It was not good to dwell on these things, however. In an attempt to bury those thoughts from his consciousness, he turned to speak with a cheerful grin.]
I happened to find this place while wandering around the City. It’s quite pleasant to take a stroll around for a while if you can spare the time.
[Soon after he spoke, the waitress appeared at the table to take their orders.]

There's no need to apologize.
[Chuckling slightly, he cast his eyes briefly across the room before staring back at the time traveler.]
I guess if Suzumiya-san was here that would indeed be the case. I was fully prepared to pay however as I never expected for you to be late.
To avoid debate, maybe we should just split the tab? Unless you're not uncomfortable for me to be paying for you instead?

I’d like a regular coffee please.
[Itsuki turned to face Mikuru.]
And what would you
