Possible issue with the fandom: Currently tagged under all media on AO3, but I'm specifically asking for 2014 TV version, which has a specific title of 金田一少年の事件簿N(neo) | Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo N (neo).
Evidence for why this fandom should be considered eligible: The fandom is tiny, so number of works isn't a problem (7 stories on FF, 5 on AO3). Distinction: GI Joe: A Real American Hero was a Sunbow/Marvel cartoon that ran from 1983-1986 with several mini-series and two seasons, created by Hasbro to tie into their toyline of the same name.

Possible issue with the fandom: Too many stories to be eligible for Yuletide
Evidence for why this fandom should be considered eligible: Crossposting, some original fics with no relation to the show or the characters
After applying the bookmarklet tool:
763 on AO3
269 on FF.net
26 crossovers on ff.net
That brings the total to 1,006. The crossposting, original fics, and drabble collection mentioned in the comment below bring the fic count to 969, which just squeaks by. It's worth mentioning that there are at least a dozen crossovers with other HBO War shows - Generation Kill and The Pacific, specifically - or 1940s themed shows/movies where Band of Brother characters are cameos or passing mentions rather than the focus. I didn't list those fics because of crossovers counting in the total, but if wanted, I can provide links.
