An update from Open Doors:An import bug caused some works to be imported again despite either having been imported using the AO3 import tool or updated by Open Doors. We were able to delete these duplicates and re-import comments for affected works, which sent an import notification to all affected authors; the works listed in those notifications ( Read more... )

Hi!
Any unclaimed works will be unlocked around 30 days after the import (to allow people to time to claim and decide if they want the works to be locked).

will unclaimed works be linked as gifts to their recipient? I was looking forward to rereading some of my Yuletide gifts, but I think most of them are currently unclaimed ...

No. It is up to the authors on claiming to add the recipients.
