How to Get More Information, and How You Can Help

Now that you're all excited and panicking, remember that if you write to yuletide@yuletidetreasure.org, I will act as go-between to get clarifications, additional details, more prompts, whatever you might need to complete your assignment. We prefer that you go through us! If you list a friend as a contact, then that potentially compromises your ( Read more... )

How long would you recommend that we wait before sending an e-mail and can we just ask you to ask them to post a letter if they haven't done so?

Not a mod, but my understanding is that yuletide letters are encouraged but not mandatory - some people just don't have that many extra details to provide (although I am very glad that the mods are willing to be intermediaries when writers do need more details.)

Oh, you can send at any time! I may not get to it today, but I'll do it as soon as I can. And I can ask them to either do a letter, or provide more details directly to me. It will help if you specify what kinds of things you want to know when you send your assignment details!

If they are, I create bogus questions of similar specificity and depth for each request to conceal the real questions.

...Are you ever allowed to sleep during yuletide? I'm astounded that you do this on top of all the other modly work! :O

(ETA: Seriously, that is beyond the call of ordinary duty - thank you for everything you put into making this work.)

Aw, thank *you*. It gives me a chance to find out about all kinds of fandoms I might never learn about, otherwise!

You're most welcome.

I do forget each year how many days/nights I lose to Yuletide. *g* But the whole thing with the questions is kind of fun! And fortunately it's a fairly limited percentage of participants who need extra info!

Hi, I sent off an email too you, but feel free to wait to open it until you've gotten some rest. I'm not planning on starting writing for a few days and don't want to put you out.

I created bogus questions, that will hopefully be up to snuff, so you shouldn't need to worry about that.

Thank you so much for your dedication!!!
