ADMIN: Fandom eligibility

There are thousands of people watching this comm, and they are here for the awesome of brainstorming and chat and recs and all the other fun satellite stuff that comes along with Yuletide each year. That makes us super-happy, and we welcome all the ways in which people make their Yuletides even more awesome and fun -- with the following exceptions

We aren't terribly concerned that some participants might be "getting away" with something or that some fandoms that aren't truly rare/obscure/inactive are slipping through [...] What we are concerned with is that everyone gets to share some fandoms they love, and that everyone gets a story in a fandom and with characters they requested.

This makes me very happy to hear. Thank you for doing so much work to keep this running smoothly. (: While I'll admit that the fandoms I see myself requesting/writing for aren't completely dead, I'll probably be asking/offering some very obscure characters within those fandoms, and to have the opportunity to do that fills me with holiday glee. So excited for signups ahhhhh!

I think you guys are awesome and do an excellent job given the volume of fandoms and the shortage of times. I look forward to this event every year whether or not I participant. Keep up the great work and try not to let the complaints get to you all. :)
