Fandom: Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm - Kate Douglas Wiggan
Category: Book
Comments: A children's lit novel about a precociois young girl, Rebecca, who travels from her poor family's farm to live in the city with her two spinster aunts, Jane and Miranda. Rebecca comes squarely from the school of awesome kid protagonists, and her relationship with her best friend Emma Jane reads as quite femslashy to me. The aunts can also be read as slashy/cesty if that's your thing.

Thank you for your link comparing Rebecca to Anne! I read both books originally the same year (remember Apple books?) and while I was an Anne fan (and am) Rebecca is the one I revisited as an adult and enjoyed thoroughly. I hope someone writes you an awesome story!
