it usually hits about 100 mid-May. late April if we're unlucky. and it doesn't go back down to 2-digits until September (monsoon temperatures not-withstanding, since it can get down into the 80s during a thunderstorm)

sun tea is when you put a tea packet (or a bunch. loose-leaf works, too) in a pitcher of water and let it sit outside for a bit. the hotter it is, the less time it has to sit outside.
we also set honey outside to get it to melt a bit, too.

misters are small water bottles with a spray bottle top to spray yourself with. mini-misters have pint-sized bottles. some misters even have a fan on the nozzle.
they are INCREDIBLY popular at stadium games, and there are a LOT of street vendors in the city-area that sell 'em.
