Summary: Ryo is the new teacher in Kame's school and he cares a lot about students with problems. And Kame is such a student, but actually he doesn't want to have any help, becaue he is a loner, and his only friends Jin and Jun already drifted apart from him. When Ryo gets to know about Kame's real situation and his real life, he tries anything to save him.

„Good morning“, Ryo entered the classroom and closed his eyes shortly when he saw the empty seat in the last row. Again he isn’t here….he thought and put his bag on the table.
“Sensei, can we make a club meeting today?”, Jun asked and stepped closer to the table.
“Sure, but we have no other members than you, Jin and maybe Kamenashi till now.”
“I know, but we have to speak about something”, Jin said from behind and saw Ryo nodding shortly.
“Alright, after school?”, he asked and started the lesson when he saw the others agreeing.
“Today we start with history”, Ryo started and stopped when the door got open and a slender figure sneaked in. “Good morning, Kamenashi”, Ryo said friendly and looked at the boy. He could see his tired eyes and his wounds were covered with some make up, but they were still visible. Kame looked exhausted and Ryo could have bet that he needed every strength he had to stand up in the morning.
“Good morning”, Kame whispered and took place in the last row again. “Ano, Kamenashi, today after school we have a club meeting”, Ryo said friendly and for his surprise he saw Kame nodding shortly before he got lost in his own world and stared out of the window.
Ryo couldn’t await the end of school day. He didn’t know if the other one would really come to the meeting or not. He couldn’t say if Kame’s nodding was honest or just an “I say yes, so you leave me alone” answer.
He sat in his room and waited for at least Jun and Jin. Five minutes before their meeting would start he heard a knock on the door. “Yes”, he said and saw a thin person slipping into it.
“Sorry, I am too early, I can come again in a few minutes”, Kame said and saw Ryo shaking his head. “Come in and sit down, Kazuya”, Ryo answered and pointed at a chair in front of him. Ryo’s heart was beating faster and he was glad that the other one appeared. He saw Kame’s dark eyes resting on him and for just one moment it was silent between them, and they only looked at each other. A small warm feeling crossed Ryo’s body before he shook his head, suppressing this feeling.
“I am glad you are here”, Ryo said slowly and looked at the other one again.
“I won’t stay long, I have some work to do”, Kame answered coldly without looking at the other one again.
“You are going to work today? What are you working?”, someone behind Kame asked and he winced in utter surprise before he turned around to face the one. Jin smiled softly at him and sat down next to him. Jun followed short after him and they sat there and said nothing.
“It’s not your business what I am working, isn’t it?”, Kame answered and hated himself for being like that. He didn’t want to act that cold, because he ever liked Jin, and if someone asked he was still his best friend, even though they hardly talked to each other during the last time. And Kame was always cold and harsh with him, but he really liked him from the bottom of his heart.
“No, it’s not, but have you ever thought of the fact that we are worried about you? Jun and I know you since years and you drift apart more and more, Kazu”, Jin answered in the same way as Kame talked with him.
“I think I go now”, Kame said and stood up to walk to the door.
“You are always running away, Kame, why, why are you doing this? We are your friends, we like you, and we care about you. You know you can trust us”, Jun replied and saw Kame stopping at the door, listening to his words without looking at him.
Ryo sat towards them and just listened to the boys before he winced when he heard Kame calling his name: “What are you thinking Nishikido-sensei?”
“Maybe you should try to speak to your friends”, Ryo only said and saw Kame nodding before he walked out of the room.
“I am curious what his job is”, Jin said after a while and looked at the others.
“We all are, but if he wants no help we can’t force him to talk to us”, Ryo answered and saw the picture of Kame’s sad and tired eyes popping up in his mind.
“You really want to help him?”, Jun said and looked at Jin and then at Ryo. Both nodded shortly and looked at each other.
“Then we have to find a way to get closer to him.”, Jun answered and rubbed his chin.
“And do you have any suggestion how we can manage this?”, Jin asked.
“Maybe, yes…we can start to observe him, checking where he is going and what he is doing”, Jun replied.
“I don’t think he start to trust us if we are going this way”, Jin crossed his arms in front of him and sighed deeply.
“But maybe we start to understand him and we can react in another way when we know about his situation”, Jun tried to explain.
“Maybe you are right”, Ryo answered and made some notes in his notepad.
“Sensei, why are you so interested in him?”, Jin asked and looked at his teacher.
Ryo smiled sadly and stopped writing down some things. “I really want to help guys in trouble. I always cared about my students and I always wanted to help them”, he said.

“Have you heard about it”, Kame heard some students talking around the corner and stopped to listen to them, when he heard them saying Ryo’s name.
“I heard he raped a girl some years ago and got suspended and now he is allowed to teach again”, one of the girls said.
“And I heard he killed someone and got suspended because of that fact”, another girl said.
Kame rolled his eyes and stepped closer to the girls who stared at him, because he never talked to them before.
“Rumors, stupid rumors, you believe everything, don’t you?!”, he only said and walked away. Kame wondered about the things the girls said. He didn’t believe that Ryo committed a crime, but there must have been a true part about the rumor, because there was always a true part in every rumor.
Kame felt some anger rising up in him, when he thought of the girls who talked bad about Ryo and he really wanted to know what the truth was.

Kame walked out of his apartment to walk to his work again. He didn’t recognize the slender figure, which was standing in the dark, staring at him and following him silently. Kame turned around when he felt a strange feeling in him, but he couldn’t see anything.
The shadow walked some steps behind Kame and followed him through every street he was going.
“Hey Yuri”, Kame said when he entered the house and closed the door behind him. The figure stood outside and stared at the banner above the door. “Got you…”, he whispered and smirked before he walked down the street, his hands in his pockets.
