I think my dad probably has the same old copy of Sherlock Holmes as you do, but it's not worn out yet since he doesn't read it much. So I can just borrow it.

And I have read Sherlock Holmes! <3 I actually used to read it (and have my dad read it to me) when I was a kid. It helped my vocabulary a lot because it used all kinds of words I hadn't heard yet. I'm not sure what the book looked like, now that you mentioned it. I think I have seen the edition you were talking about though, and I remember wondering what dad's old one looked like because I couldn't decide if I wanted to get the new one or not.

*w* /coos at a fellow fan? /coooo! But yeah, that's also how I used to fix my vocabulary. That and the Three Musketeers. ♥ Kids these days should read books like these more, it is good for their learning!
The nice black and blue hardbounds are the ones I got! There were some paperbacks floating around but they were really fug. And somehow more expensive??

The sales end today, I think? But they may extend, given the stacks of books they still have to dispose.
