Chapter 15 - Stolen a Mother's Keepsake (Conclusion)
“What was that about?” Yamada demanded as the two boys headed toward their head quarter.
“Don’t you think this is for the better?” Kamiki just shrugged, “Wouldn’t it be sad if they finally became a complete team and her teammates found out what she did?”
After thinking about it for a while, Yamada could only sighs, “I guess you’re right.”
Before they turn a corner, the sound of footstep gradually get louder from behind them. Kamiki and Yamada curiously look back to see Kawashima running up toward them.
“Kamiki-san, Yamada-kun!” Kawashima called. She stopped in front of them and smiles. Even though her eyes still red from the cry before, she still smiles brightly at the boys, “Earlier, thank you.”
“It’s no problem.” Kamiki nodded, “I’m glad everything works out.”
“It’s not only that.” Kawashima exclaimed, “I mean everything. You guys know about it didn’t you? That it was me who hid the ring. And it was me who was demanding money from the school because of it.”
“We know somewhat.” Yamada said.
“I’m very sorry for what I did.” Kawashima said.
“We know it wasn’t you who was the mastermind behind it.” Yamada sighs, “Can you tell us who instruct you?”
“No..!” Kawashima flustered face only tells the boys otherwise, “It was really me who did it. Nobody was behind it or anything.”
“That’s not true and you know it.” Kamiki stares at Kawashima; only to make her quickly turns away, guiltily.
“An.. Anyways…” Kawashima quickly changed the subject, “I’ll drop the charge from the school.” Before the boys can reply, she quickly turns and dashed away.
Kamiki was about to call her back, but was stopped by Yamada.
“Don’t worry about it.” Yamada walks back to their head quarter.
“What do you mean?” Kamiki asked, “Don’t you want to know?”
“From her expression, we can tell that it’s someone quite close to her.” Yamada said, “That person is close enough so that she doesn’t want to reveal him even if she’s going to get expelled. And beside, we still have Mamayu for this.”
“If she doesn’t tell us, how will Fukuda-san know?” Kamiki is still confused.
“Mamayu has her ways.” Yamada smirks. They already reached the door to their secret hideout. Making sure that nobody was around, they quickly slipped inside.
As they slide open the second door to their head quarter, Fukuda greeted them with a smile.
“Welcome back!” She called to them and hand each of them a cool drink from the fridge.
“What is all this about?” Yamada pointed at his own drink.
“It’s for a celebration!” Fukuda smiles brightly.
“Whose birthday?” Kamiki asked.
“Yours!” Fukuda exclaimed, “It’s the birth of our third member! Don’t you think we should celebrate?”
“Really?” Kamiki became excited, “Fukuda-san, thank you very much!”
“Welcome to Shin2dan!” Fukuda smile.
“What’s Shin2dan?” Kamiki asked.
“It’s Mamayu’s name for this place.” Yamada nodded.
“Shinrichi Gakuin Himitsu Dan (Shinrichi Academy Secret Society).” Fukuda smiles, “Shin in Shinrichi, 2 from the tsu in himitsu, and dan, which gives Shin2dan. Smart right?”
“It’s a good thing that this group is secret,” Yamada whispered to Kamiki, “Or else we have to use this name all the time.”
“While you guys were away,” Fukuda’s eyes suddenly brighten, “I thought up of your codenames!”
“Codename?” Kamiki asked.
“Wait, it’s plural.” Yamada suddenly feel a bit of threat, “What do you mean by codenameS?”
Fukuda gave them a mischievous laugh before exclaiming, “From now on, I will call Kamiki-kun, Nosuke, and Yamachan, Suke!”
“No…suke?” Kamiki repeated his ridiculous new nickname.
“Suke?” Yamada asked.
“Yeah!” Fukuda grins, “Kamiki-kun’s Nosuke from Ryunosuke, and Suke from Ryosuke for Yamachan.”
“I’ll never agree to that!” Yamada exclaimed, his face blushed with embarrassment.
“Why not? It’s a good name!” Fukuda pouted.
“Nosuke is not a good name!” Kamiki’s face also is turning deep red. Just thinking about how Fukuda or Yamada suddenly call Nosuke out in the hall already make him want to find a hole to hide.
Quickly thinking up of something, Yamada turns to Fukuda with a smirk, “Fine, call me Suke if you like.”
“What are you saying Yamada-san?” shocked, Kamiki turned to Yamada.
“But I will have to call you Mama from now on.” Yamada gave Fukuda a winning smile.
“Mama?” Fukuda asked, confused.
“Mama from Mamayu!” Yamada grin mischievously.
“You aren’t serious!” Fukuda exclaimed, a disgusted look plastered across her face.
“Yeah! Mama!” Kamiki excitedly exclaimed, but was quickly silent by her glare.
“Mama~ Mama~!” Yamada repeated with a smile.
“Ah! Stop that!” Fukuda crunched her nose, “Fine, I won’t call you guys by Nosuke and Suke anymore.”
Fukuda dejectedly sat in her seat as the boys grin at each other.
“But it’s boring without a codename!” Fukuda whined like a child.
“I think you’ve been watching too many dramas lately.” Yamada sighs as he takes a seat, and Kamiki also follow suit.
Before long, Fukuda quickly sits straight up with a small smile, “How about Ryo and Ryu?”
“Why don’t you just call us as you usually do?” Yamada sighs.
“But we are partners!” Fukuda pouted, “I think calling you guys by codename will make us closer, don’t you think? Ryu?”
“Eh… I guess.” Kamiki smiles nervously.
“You shouldn’t agree to her right away!” Yamada exclaimed.
“Well, Ryu agreed!” Fukuda smiles and turned to Yamada with stars in her eyes, waiting for his answer.
“Absolutely not!” Yamada quickly turned away.
“Is that so?” Taking out her keitai, Fukuda quickly type something, “How about let me tell the whole school to call you Suke from now on?”
“Argghhh.” Yamada scramble to get the keitai from her, but she quickly take a step away from him.
“3… 2…” Fukuda smirked at Yamada, threatening to send the message in an instant.
“Fine!” Yamada raised his hands to surrender, “Call me whatever you want!”
“Ryo-chan agreed!” Fukuda shuts her keitai and clapped her hands mischieviously.
Bringing up her drinks she smile, “Lets give a toast to welcoming our newest member, Ryu as well as our new codenames!”
The two boys sigh and reluctantly bring up their drinks.
“Kanbai~!”

It was a Saturday the week after and the three members of Shin2dan are standing in the balcony of the gym, watching a friendly basketball match from their school and the girls from a nearby school. Narumi had invited Kamiki and Yamada to come, but Yamada also dragged Fukuda with him despites her protests.
“They seems like they get along better now.” Kamiki smiles as he watch Kawashima passed the ball to Yamada Naoko.
“Yeah.” Yamada smiles, “I guess what you did was right.”
“I wondered how Kawashima-san’s family is doing.” Kamiki wondered out loud.
“She should be fine now.” Fukuda yawns next to Kamiki, “I heard she recently got a sport scholarship, so she should still be able to play at this school. Also, her father got a job at one of Yamada Group’s store.”
“Yamada Group?” Kamiki asked.
“Yeah!” Fukuda nodded toward Yamada, “Ryo’s family is rich you know.”
“Well, I just asked my dad a favor.” Yamada only shrugged.
“Say, Mamayu.” Yamada turned toward Fukuda, “Did you ever find who the mastermind behind those events was?”
“Yup.” Fukuda eyes turned toward the game with a nervous smile, “But I can’t tell you. It’s the other side of the deal, hope you’ll understand.”
The buzzer rang for the end of the game, with Shinrichi team leading 55 to 34. The team ran toward each other for a victory hugs. At that moment, Kawashima noticed Kamiki and Yamada and waved. The boys waved back, but Fukuda could only looks away.
“Ryo!” Fukuda gave another yawn, “You better take me back! I haven’t had my beauty sleep since Thursday night.”
“Fine!” Yamada sighs and turns toward Kamiki, “Come, I’ll take you back too.”
Kamiki nodded, and together, they head toward Yamada’s awaited car.

Author's Note: I really want to do this arc in 4 chapters, but for some reason, it turned into 6. =___=;; Anyways, this arc is finally finished! *party* So, may I asked how was it? Does it sucks? Did something not make sense? Please tell me. What are your thoughts? Your questions? Your angers? Your disappointment? What do you think I should cover next? Is there something I should change? Like a title in every chapter or something? I don't know, anything. Tell me. :)
Sometimes, I really don't know what kind of character does Fukuda has. Kamiki have that meek personality. Yamada have that cool/trying to be cool personality. But Fukuda's personality is all over the place. ^^;;
