If I weren't locked in a Verizon contract, I'd be on the iPhone faster than you can say "Steamy Cyborg Cybersex".

However, AT&T (nee Cingular) for all they promise more bars in more places, still don't deliver to my corner of the world.

Erik and I had Cingular in Campbell, and had no complaints, about 6 years ago. We switched to Verizon when we moved to Walnut Creek, because we only had 2 bars in our apartment with Cingular/ATT. I recently had a friend with an iphone at my house, and he only had 2 bars. So six years and no bar improvement makes me look a little more favorably at the Verizon Please-Don't-Leave-Me-For-iPhone-Baby-Phone-Giveaway-Bonanza. (Yup, I got a flyer offering a reduced price phone too.)

Maybe you can sweet-talk the AT&T lackeys into loaning you a cell phone from to take it home for a test drive, because that's the deal-breaker for me.

I seem to get either a full five bars or zilch on my Blackberry. AT&T seems to be hit or miss.

Btw, I now love the phrase "Steamy Cyborg Cybersex." I know I'm going to accidently drop it into a conversation where it really shouldn't be.

I work for AT&T and if you e-mail me, I can check coverage for you.

iPhones are pretty.

He absolutely loves it. If you are into all its features and can hang with the charges, I would say treat yourself to an iphone. I love verizon as it gets signal in timbuktoo, but hey, if the iphone is your thang, and it sounds like it might be, then go for it baby!
