I'm a white Canadian. I make no secrets about this. I am well aware of how lucky I scored on racial-roulette, even country-roulette. Despite one or two glaring things (being female and mentally ill), I am still so fucking lucky

Funny, I was just translating a document that mentioned how Canada is basically the third-best place to live in the world after Sweden and Australia, according to the OECD. It's sobering to remember who pays the price for that. I also listened to The Journey of Crazy Horse recently, and inspired by that experienece played a game of indie roleplaying game Kingdom about a plains-dwelling tribal people loosely inspired by the Lakota. The tribe in our game fared better than the historical Lakota did, though. Wishful thinking I guess
