Okay, so I haven't been into Arashi fandom for very long at all, but this is the first fic I've come across (non-AU) in which Johnny molests one of his "band boys." I figured, after reading numerous articles about Johnny's "endeavors" with young males that this theme would be more prevailent in Arashi fiction, but it seems to be disregarded. I find it weird that Johnny's pedophilia thing is so hush-hush, don't you? I personally think he's a gross old man, but apparently he controls so much of the media in Japan (because everyone wants JE boys on their shows/in their magazines, etc.) that no one wants to call him out on his actions, even though so many have claimed to see the man molest and even rape young boys! Now, of course, nothing has ever been proven, but if such reports came out in the U.S., Johnny would be put on trial for sure.

Anyway, enough of my rant! Thank you for such a well-written, sad, and wonderful story. :) Aiba/Jun is <3

i absolutely agree!! i looked around for it, before i wrote this... i was fascinated with the potential for major character development, and the exploration of how a person can bounce back from that type of trauma, and getting into the character's head and all that... but didn't find a single thing! and i've read all the scandalous news articles on the johnny allegations, and was curious as all hell. to the point where i was thinking... i wonder if JE had those types of fics REMOVED! hahahaha! oh the conspiracy... but you know, i don't know if i'd even be surprised...

I love this story!!! You wrote it very well. Out of all the fanfics I've read (which I'll admit isn't many, but that's beside the point), this is by far my favorite. I have a thing for angsty stories :D I look forward to any other stories you write!

no worries, the plot bunnies are bouncing around my head, and more than one is angsty. i have trouble writing fluff, or rather, i have trouble liking any fluffy thing i write (altho i will give that a concerted effort as well). so most likely, the angst will keep flowing.
