... Honestly, I wish there was more to do around here.

Well, you have to admit that there is much more now at least than when we first arrived. I honestly don't know how you managed to stay sane when things seemed so...well...primitive.

We are much older now. Many of our fellow islanders have gotten themselves married, have children...it's a bit disconcerting if you think about it for too long.

... If I remember correctly, you're not one of them, yes?

You are correct. I suppose part of me expected Suzumiya-san to arrive in this world, so I've subconsciously held off on forming...solid...relationships with people. It is, admittedly, something I regret.

But only part?

Well yes. I suppose the other half believed that the island itself knew better than to drag someone with such power here. Though, I imagine you're questioning about something other than my logic, hm?

Your imagination is getting to you.

Ah. It has a tendency to do that sometimes.

Try not to let it take over you.

Point made and taken. [ Reaches in pocket and pulls out a card deck, shuffling. ] But how do you feel? After all these years, do you feel as though you've changed dramatically from who you once were?

Yes.

... For better or worse, I don't know.

I, personally, would say for better. I happen to like you the way you are now. Would you like to play a silly little romance, fortune telling game? There is no real value to it other than entertainment.

That's right. You take the four kings, and give them the name of four guys in your life. Three cards will be taken out at random and set to the side. And with the rest of the cards, you will ask a question that can be answered as any of the guys you have chosen. For example; 'Who will cook dinner?' Whatever suit the card is corresponds with one of the kings you have designated as one of your potential suitors.

... That sounds really dumb.

You certainly have not lost your ability to be harsh.
