it's like being an aunt but better. i just have to pretend to her family that i'm catholic... she just told them that my husband was so they (her grandmother) assumed that i am as well. their priest doesn't have a problem with my not being catholic though.

my friend and her husband are catholic/methodist and my husband and i are teh same mix... so that would probably be the most appropriate mix for the parents' wishes anyways...

Have you tried any of those voice recognition typing programs? That might fit with knitting more easily and if you can see the words on screen as you go it is more like writing.
